New Construction Set to Take Off in New Year
In the wake of the pandemic, supply chain issues and labor shortages resulted in a historic inventory squeeze on new construction. However, as those constraints begin to ease, the number of new homes on the market is stabilizing, slowly returning to normal levels. According to Cyndy Salgado, executive vice president with @properties Development Group, which handles sales and marketing for residential developments nationwide, the stage is currently set for more new construction to hit the market, with a healthy pipeline of projects that will continue to deliver into 2023 and beyond. Here is a window into new homes currently on the market in Chicagoland.

The kitchen features high-end cabinetry in contrasting white and charcoal tones with gold hardware; a massive island; four Wolf ovens; and an integrated Sub-Zero refrigerator and freezer. There is also a second kitchen near the back of the home, designed for easy entertaining indoors or out. A three-season room with floor-to-ceiling windows opens to a large paver patio, pergola, and in-ground pool. Soaring 10-foot ceilings and countless windows further amplify an exceptional open-concept floor plan. Other conveniences include a three-car garage, a large mudroom with built-in storage and laundry room, and an additional second-floor laundry room. The lower level features a large rec room, exercise room, and space that has been prepped for a golf simulator.

The main floor features 10’6” ceilings and large windows throughout. Dark wood cabinetry in the kitchen and butler’s pantry is offset by white quartz countertops and backsplash. The second floor features three bedrooms, including the primary suite, and a laundry room, while the third floor offers a media room with a wet bar and access to a large rooftop.
